Hello forum members!
I am a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health doing my thesis project on embryo adoption. There is very little published data on this growing area of family building. I hope that through my research, I will be able to inform healthcare professionals, particularly within the field of genetics, of the unique and relevant issues for families pursuing embryo adoption.
The link below is a survey seeking to learn more about the desire for, value of, potential uses of, and concerns about genetic testing of embryos and embryo donors, in individuals who have, or are currently considering or pursuing, embryo adoption.
Your responses will help healthcare professionals within the field of genetics better understand unique and relevant issues related to genetic testing for families using embryo adoption. There are no right or wrong answers to any questions in the survey. You do not need to know anything about genetics to answer questions. We simply want to better understand your experiences, thoughts, and perspectives related to embryo adoption and genetic testing.
Your participation is completely voluntary and you may discontinue your participation at any time. This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, there is an option to submit your name and email address to enter a drawing to win a $25.00 gift card to Amazon.com. Ten participants will be chosen randomly and will be awarded the gift card in March, 2013.
