The boards don't look very busy. I will however, post our information. I hope others pick up on the forums.
My husband and I are interested in embryo adoption and egg donor IVF. We live in SW Missouri. Yeah, we are rednecks. We work hard, play hard. Prefer the country to town. I am a teacher he is a blue collar man. We have been waiting on a little one of our own for too long.

My husband and I have adopted embryos in 2009 and we have one son from it but no true sibling other then the ones from the anonymous donors who have twins (boy/girl). We are hoping one day they find each other but in the mean time we just tried another (DE & DS) cycle that was successful only to find out they it's not Donor Egg and Donor Sperm like requested it's Donor Egg and Husband's Sperm... But it worked and the baby will be a happy one to know his dad My husband just found out he has a lot of problems (Bi-Polar in the family, Hydritis, bone problems, neck issues and now feet problem he can barely walk anymore.... ) so he didn't want anymore kids getting all this stuff. Anyways we are 3 months pg and I am 49 so lets hope all goes well.

Hubby and I have been married for 4 years. We've known for a few years we couldn't conceive naturally. We love the idea of embryo adoption. Recently we decided we were ready to start looking into it more seriously. It's a little overwhelming all the options but its very exciting too!

Hi All, It seems like some time has passed since this thread was going, but I stumbled upon it and wanted to see what everyone is up to here. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for some time with no success. The reason has not been able to be identified by Doctors so we haven't given up hope, but are looking into adoption now. Daily I am using www.fertility.org and www.adoption.com to explore both. Is anyone here experiencing the same situation? BTW if you haven't used those sites, you should check them out. They have helped us tremendously. -Sunny

My husband and I have a 2 year-old, but since then my eggs have shown to be few and poor quality. I can carry babies to term well if we don't use my eggs. We are looking to receive donor embryos in AZ, unless there is a better (high success rates and low cost) way to go about doing this. Let me know what you think. Thank you!

Hello!! My DH & I have been TTC for over 6 yrs-- He had a vasectomy reversal after 9yrs of being fixed.. We have done 6months of clomid, 2 failed IUI's. So we decided in Jan '15 we will look into adoption & came across FET-- it was an instant yes!! Everything felt right and we are waiting for our consult at Overlake Reproductive in Bellevue WA June 12!! We are still patients at Oregon Reproductive and tried to use their FET program but the wait was just too long! I'm on this site along with PVED.com looking at any available frozen "sweet peas" that we have an opportunity to adopt into our amazing family!!!

Hello! Does anyone still use this message board? It seems that there hasn't been any activity in 2016. Anyway, I'll try my luck. DH and I have had 2 IVF's and 3 IUI's - all BFN. It's been frustrating and devastating, to say the least. We are now looking into embryo adoption or traditional (international) adoption. Does anyone have any insight as to which is a better option? Less cost? Less wait? Less red tape? We are not getting any younger, and just want to become parents. TIA!

Just research on the Internet. I'd do embryo adoption if I could still birth children There are more active boards out there. Hope it goes well for you.

Hi there,
I'm a writer currently working on a book about Assisted Reproductive Technologies, and one of the chapters is about Embryo Adoption. I'm currently talking to parents who have either donated or adopted embryos, as well as those who are embryo adoptees. Would any of you be interested in speaking about the experience? The book is due to come out under Penguin Books in 2018. I'm particularly interested in thinking about the differences between standard adoption and embryo adoption, and the impact on the family. I'm more than happy to talk to you more about the project. As a mother of a four month girl who was conceived through IVF--and with two blastocysts currently frozen--this issue is personal as well as professional.
Thanks so much for considering this request! If you reply to this response, we can work out a way to get in touch.

Hi I'm Sam. I'm 42 and really new at embryo donation. I have a boy who's 9 now by natural birth. But I can't do natural anymore and my Dr. suggested IVF. We're hoping for a baby girl but is IVF with gender selection better than embryo donation? What made you ladies decide to have embryo donation? I'm still searching so I really want to know.
